Ingredients

  • 2 c. diced ham
  • 12 slices bread, cubed and crust removed
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 c. diced American cheese
  • 12 eggs
  • 4 c. warm milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon grease

Method

  • Combine bread, onion, green pepper, ham and cheese.
  • Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
  • Beat eggs, milk, salt and bacon grease.
  • Pour over bread mixture.
  • Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
