Ingredients
- half chicken per person
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 2 Tbsp. oil
Method
- Wash
- chicken
- in
- water.
- Cut away skin and fat.
- Discard. Cut the chicken into pieces, dip in cold water and wipe dry. Shake
- the chicken
- pieces in a paper bag with seasoned flour (flour, salt and pepper).
- Preheat the Dutch oven. When it is hot,
- put
- in
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and add the chicken pieces.
- Brown
- until golden.
- Put lid on oven and add coals
- on top.
- Bake, basting the chicken occasionally, for 15 minutes. Turn the pieces over and cook 15 minutes more.
