Ingredients

  • Meat
  • 1 large Beef Brisket
  • 1/2 bottle soy sauce
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Dash of garlic salt

Method

  • Mix soy sauce, consomme, garlic salt, and lemon juice and marinate Beef Brisket in it.
  • Refrigerate for 24 hours.
  • Next day: Pour off liquid, sprinkle meat very generously with paprika.
  • Wrap in heavy aluminum foil and bake at 250 degrees for 4 to 5 hours or until tender.
  • Cool completely, slice thinly across the grain.
  • Prepare sauce: Mix together all ingredients for sauce and cook 10 minutes.
  • Pour sauce over sliced meat and wrap back in foil.
  • Bake at 300F (150C) for 1 hour.
