Ingredients

  • 1 each graham cracker pie crust readytofill
  • 20 ounces apples piesliced, unsweetened, not pie filling
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins, seedless
  • 13 cup rum 80proof
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest grated
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Unwrap piecrust.
  • Drain apples and combine with remaining ingredients.
  • Spoon into shell.
  • Invert an aluminum pie pan over the filling to protect from drying out while baking, or cut a circle of aluminum foil and place over the filling.
  • Bake in a preheated 425 oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Cool before cutting or serve chilled.
