Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 14 cups chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 14 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash sugar
Method
- Melt butter in a heavy saucepan.
- Saute onions slowly, stirring occasionally, until soft.
- Sprinkle with flour.
- Gradually stir in milk.
- Cook, stirring, until smooth and thickened.
- Add salt and sugar.
- Serve.
