Ingredients

  • 4 slices buttered toast
  • 1/2 c. seedless raisins
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. canned milk
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Method

  • In a 1 1/2-quart buttered baking dish, place the toast and toss the raisins over the toast.
  • To the eggs, add 1/4 cup sugar, salt, milk, water and vanilla.
  • Pour this mixture into the dish and let stand 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with the 4 teaspoons of sugar and cinnamon combination.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
