Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter (not margarine)
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg or 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. cream or milk
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
Method
- Cream the butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the sugar. Add the egg or egg yolks and vanilla.
- Beat thoroughly. Add the cream or milk.
- Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder and stir in.
- Mix well and arrange by teaspoonfuls on a buttered cookie sheet 1-inch apart. Bake about 8 minutes at 375°.
- Makes 50 to 60 cookies.
