Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter (not margarine)
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg or 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. cream or milk
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder

Method

  • Cream the butter until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the sugar. Add the egg or egg yolks and vanilla.
  • Beat thoroughly. Add the cream or milk.
  • Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder and stir in.
  • Mix well and arrange by teaspoonfuls on a buttered cookie sheet 1-inch apart. Bake about 8 minutes at 375°.
  • Makes 50 to 60 cookies.
