Ingredients
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 c. milk
- 2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Mix together the molasses and milk in a large bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix both flours, sugar, baking soda, salt and nuts; stir quickly into liquid, mixing until just blended.
- Pour batter into greased and floured 9 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 2 3/4-inch pan.
- Bake in preheated 350° oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
- Cool in pan before slicing.
- Makes 1 loaf.
