- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 c. canned whole tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- black pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. dry instant milk
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Method
- Cook the first 4 ingredients until tender.
- Add the next 4 ingredients.
- Mix milk and flour.
- Add water to milk and flour. Add milk mixture to tomato; stir constantly until thick.
- Cook 2 minutes.
- Add chicken and cook until hot; stir in cheese.
- Serve over rice.
