Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 c. canned whole tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. dry instant milk
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Cook the first 4 ingredients until tender.
  • Add the next 4 ingredients.
  • Mix milk and flour.
  • Add water to milk and flour. Add milk mixture to tomato; stir constantly until thick.
  • Cook 2 minutes.
  • Add chicken and cook until hot; stir in cheese.
  • Serve over rice.
