Ingredients

  • 1 (3 to 4 lb.) English or chuck roast
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 5 to 6 potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 5 carrots, peeled and cut into small pieces

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Place roast in roasting pan. Evenly sprinkle soup mix over meat. Spoon mushroom soup over mix and meat and spread soup to completely cover top of meat. DO NOT ADD WATER. Arrange potatoes and carrots around meat. Cover and roast in preheated oven about 3 hours.
