Ingredients

  • 2 lb. raw ground beef
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 28 oz. can chopped, peeled tomatoes
  • 28 oz. can tomato puree
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. stewing beef, cubed
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 dash cinnamon and cumin
  • 1 dash A. 1. sauce and allspice
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. red pepper seed
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 3 whole bay leaves
  • 2 cans Luck's pinto beans

Method

  • Mix together ground beef and tomato sauce.
  • Work thoroughly with hands.
  • Chop onion, pepper and garlic.
  • Stir all this together in large chili pot and brown over medium heat.
  • Add tomatoes and puree.
