Ingredients
- 4 large apples (I recommend Fuji or Granny Smith)
- 12 cup apple cider
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
Method
- Peel, core, and slice the apples.
- You may want to taste a piece in order to adjust the later addition of sugar accordingly.
- Place apples, cider, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
- Cover and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, and cook with cover on for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add sugar, and stir until sugar dissolves.
- Optional: Before plating, you may want to use a stick blender to puree the cooked apples into a smoother sauce.
- Take care not to burn yourself when doing this.
