Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Madeira
- 3 c. chicken stock or broth
- 2 medium size onions
- 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 2 1/2 c. beef stock or broth
- 1 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- sour cream
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine the Madeira, 1/2 cup chicken stock and 1/2 pound mushrooms. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes; set aside.
