Ingredients
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (9-inch) pie crust
Method
- Combine sugar, corn syrup and margarine.
- Cook on low to medium heat until hot to touch and margarine melts.
- Remove from heat and very slowly pour mixture into beaten eggs, stirring constantly as you pour.
- Add pecans or walnuts and vanilla.
- Bake in a 350° oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until pie is not shaky in the center.
