Ingredients
- 1 lb. butter, softened
- 2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 6 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 4 c. chocolate chips (I prefer white chocolate)
- 2 c. chopped nuts (Macadamia nuts are good, optional)
Method
- Cream together butter and sugars.
- Beat in vanilla.
- Add eggs and beat 3 to 4 minutes. Mix together flour, salt and soda. Then add to creamed mixture.
- Mixture should be sticky and dry.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
- Drop by small scoops on waxed paper and bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing.
