- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 (16 oz.) jar thick and chunky style spaghetti sauce
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper (add more if you prefer hot and spicy)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 (16 oz.) box mostaccioli noodles (tubular noodle about 2 1/2-inches long)
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- Brown the ground beef with the onion and parsley.
- Add the jar of sauce to the meat. Add the oregano, marjoram, thyme, basil, bay leaf, red pepper and minced garlic to the sauce.
- Simmer the sauce for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
