Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 (16 oz.) jar thick and chunky style spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper (add more if you prefer hot and spicy)
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 (16 oz.) box mostaccioli noodles (tubular noodle about 2 1/2-inches long)
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Brown the ground beef with the onion and parsley.
  • Add the jar of sauce to the meat. Add the oregano, marjoram, thyme, basil, bay leaf, red pepper and minced garlic to the sauce.
  • Simmer the sauce for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
