Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. frozen Molokhiya
  • 1 stewing chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 15 to 20 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 Tbsp. coriander
  • cooking oil
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 tomatoes

Method

  • Thaw molokhiya; set aside.
  • In a large pot, boil chicken in water with chicken bouillon.
  • In a food processor, blend tomatoes and onion.
  • Add this to boiling chicken; let this boil about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Remove chicken and add molokhiya.
  • Stir together well.
  • In a separate frying pan, fry oil, crushed garlic and coriander until golden.
  • Add to boiling molokhiya.
  • Serve with pita bread.
