Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
Method
- Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
- Beat.
- Mix together flour, cocoa and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture.
- Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake at 300° for 35 minutes.
- Remove from oven, but leave it on.
- Spread marshmallows over cake. Return to oven for 20 minutes more or until marshmallows are melted.
- Remove from oven.
- Cool for 20 minutes, then spread with icing.
