Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce

Method

  • Cut peppers in half; wash and remove seed and white membrane. Mix ground beef and onion in 1 1/2-quart casserole and cook at Max power for 5 minutes, stirring once during cooking.
  • Stir in salt, pepper, rice and half of the tomato sauce.
  • Fill pepper halves with mixture.
  • Place in glass dish.
  • Top each pepper with remaining sauce.
  • Cook, covered, at Max power for 8 to 10 minutes or until peppers are tender.
  • Makes 4 servings.
