Ingredients

  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Method

  • In well greased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, stir together sugar, cocoa, salt, and milk until partially blended.
  • Put butter on top in center of dish.
  • Put dish in microwave on high for 2 minutes or until milk feels warm on bottom.
  • Stir vigorously until smooth.
  • Not important for butter to be completely melted.
  • Blend in vanilla and nuts.
  • Pour into wax paper lined dish.
  • Chill for 1 hour. Makes 20 squares.
