Ingredients

  • 4 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. white corn syrup *
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla *

Method

  • Spray inside of a large brown grocery bag with vegetable cooking spray (Pam).
  • Pour popped corn into paper bag.
  • In a bowl, combine brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt.
  • Microwave on High 2 1/2 minutes.
  • Stir; microwave on High for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in soda and add vanilla.
  • Pour over popcorn in bag.
  • Close bag and shake.
  • Microwave on High for 1 1/2 minutes.
  • Shake well and microwave for 1 minute more on High.
  • Shake well.
  • Add additional popcorn salt, if desired.
  • Store in airtight container.
