Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter flavored Crisco
  • 1 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen corn
  • 1 can (4 oz.) green chilies, diced and drained
  • 1/3 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. water
  • dash of garlic powder

Method

  • In 2-quart saucepan melt Crisco.
  • Add onions and cook over medium heat until tender.
  • Stir in corn, tomato, green chilies, water and garlic powder.
  • Cover and cook over medium heat for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Uncover and continue cooking for 3 minutes or until hot.
  • Yields 4 to 6 servings.
