Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 pkg. taco or enchilada mix
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 can chili beef soup
  • 1 can Cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 pkg. (8) flour tortillas
  • 1 pkg. Cheddar or sharp cheese, grated

Method

  • Brown meat and onions; drain.
  • Add remaining ingredients, except cheese.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Stir frequently. Layer in baking dish (9 x 13-inch), alternate tortillas with meat sauce.
  • End with meat sauce on top, about 3 layers.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 350°.
  • Remove from oven; sprinkle with cheese.
  • Return to oven until cheese is melted.
