Ingredients

  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. cream-style corn
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Make a batter of the first 6 ingredients (mix well).
  • Pour 1/2 of batter into square pan.
  • Crumble hamburger over this.
  • Sprinkle green chilies over meat.
  • Then add cheese over all.
  • Pour other half of batter over this.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
