Ingredients

  • 14 cup raw cashews
  • 4 ounces pimientos
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 12 teaspoons salt
  • 12 teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups water

Method

  • Add all the ingredients except the water to your blender or food processor.
  • add enough water to just cover.
  • blend until smooth.
  • add the rest of the water and blend until thoroughly combined.
  • stirring constantly simmer in saucepan until thickened.
  • use over macaroni, pizza, lasagna, veggies, etc.
  • you can also add agar to make it slice-able.
  • it also mixes well with ketchup and barbecue sauce for a wonderful veggie burger topping or tater-tot dip.
