Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, well beaten

Method

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt and butter with a pastry blender.
  • Add eggs and incorporate them well, using your hands.
  • Form the dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 400°. Pinch off the dough in small amounts and press into miniature muffin tins or pastry molds.
  • Bake until light brown, about 10 minutes.
  • Fill with your favorite filling.
