Ingredients

  • 6 c. chicken stock or possibly canned broth
  • 1 pound smoked kielbasa sausage, diced
  • 1 pound boiling potatoes, peeled, diced
  • 1 (5 1/4 ounce.) can kidney beans, liquid removed
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce.) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 med. head green cabbage, coarsely minced
  • 1 med. onion, minced
  • 1 lg. carrot, diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped

Method

  • Combine all ingredients in large pot.
  • Bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat; simmer till thick, stirring occasionally, about 2 hrs.
  • Season with pepper.
