Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled
- 1 (8 oz.) can peas or vegetable or your choice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. bacon drippings
Method
- Saute onion in bacon drippings.
- Brown ground beef and sauteed onion.
- Meanwhile, boil peeled potatoes for mashing and cook peas (or other vegetable) in butter.
- In a casserole dish put peas (1st layer), ground beef (2nd layer) and on top spread the mashed potatoes.
- Bake 15 minutes in a 300° oven.
- Serve hot.
