Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 envelope (3 Tbsp. dry onion soup mix)
  • dash of allspice
  • pastry for 2 crust pie
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes

Method

  • Brown potatoes thoroughly.
  • Line a 9-inch pie plate with pastry.
  • Combine meat, milk, soup mix, pepper and allspice.
  • Mix gently.
  • Lightly pat into pastry-lined pie plate.
  • Top with potatoes.
  • Place top crust over potatoes.
  • Seal with flute edges. Cut design in top of pastry.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until browned.
  • Serve with warm catsup if desired.
