- 1 sheet refrigerated pie dough
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup mashed potatoes
- 6 eggs
- 1 12 cups half-and-half
- salt and pepper
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Put dough in a pie plate, crimp the edges and line with foil.
- Pour pie weights on top and bake until the crust sets (20 minutes).
- Remove foil with weights ad bake the crust until it is golden (another 15 minutes).
- Remove the crust from the oven.
- Reduce oven temperature to 375 F.
- Put sausage and bacon in a cold, large skillet over medium heat and cook until browned.
- Drain fat from skillet.
- Spread potatoes evenly over the bottom of the crust.
- Place sausage and bacon over potatoes.
- Beat the eggs with the half and half and pour over meat.
- Bake until set (30-45 minutes).
