Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 eggs
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 7 1/2 to 8 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Cream shortening and sugar together.
- Add boiling water.
- Let cool and then add beaten eggs.
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water, then add to mixture.
- Work in salt and flour. Cover and put in warm place for 2 hours to rise.
- Then work down and roll out. Cut like biscuits.
- Place in lightly greased pan and let rise 1 hour. Bake at 350° until brown.
