Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 8 oz. noodles
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/4 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1/2 c. diced onion

Method

  • Brown beef and onion in butter.
  • Stir in salt, pepper and tomato sauce.
  • Remove from heat; cook and drain noodles.
  • Combine cottage cheese, onion and green peppers.
  • Spread half the noodles in a 3-quart casserole or 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Cover with remaining noodles.
  • Pour ground beef mixture over top.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
