Ingredients
- 15 oz. can pear halves
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. sour cream
Method
- Drain pears; reserve 1/4 cup liquid.
- Combine syrup, sugar and oil in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat. Stir in lemon juice, maple flavoring and cinnamon.
- Arrange pear halves (cut side up) in a shallow baking dish.
- Pour mixture over all.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
- When serving, top each pear with a dollop of sour cream.
