Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 c. sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tall can (1 2/3 c. or 14 1/2 oz.) evaporated milk
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate bits
  • 12 oz. sweet chocolate (4 bars 3 oz. each), broken up
  • 1 (7 or 8 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
  • 2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Stir together in a saucepan the sugar, salt, butter and evaporated milk. Boil 6 minutes. Place semi-sweet bits, sweet chocolate and marshmallow cream in a large bowl. Pour boiling syrup over chocolate mixture; stir until all chocolate is melted. Stir in nuts. Pour into a greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan; let stand a few hours before cutting into squares. Store in a tin box.
