Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. whole cloves or 1 tsp. fresh mint leaves
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 lemon, cut in half (1/2 for juice, 1/2 for garnish)
  • 12 oz. pineapple juice
  • 12 oz. chilled lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
  • 6 of your favorite tea bags

Method

  • Using the 6 tea bags, prepare tea the way you normally would, using 2 1/2 quarts of water and adding the cloves or mint leaves. Remove tea bags and cloves or mint immediately.
  • Sweeten to taste while tea is still hot.
  • Add pineapple juice and lemon juice; chill.
  • After desired temperature, add soda or ginger ale just before serving and stir lightly.
  • Serve with lemon garnish in tall, chilled glasses.
