Ingredients
- 1 box macaroni
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 3 large chopped onions
- 1 green, sweet pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic or 1/2 tsp. powder
- 1 c. syrup
- 6 strips bacon
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 large bottle ketchup
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Chop bacon in small pieces and cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Add onions, green pepper and garlic; cook until done.
- When almost half done, add ground beef; cook for 5 more minutes.
- Add Italian seasoning, tomatoes, ketchup and syrup.
- Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes; stir often.
- Cook macaroni by directions on box; drain.
- Put in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the cooled hamburger mixture; stir slightly.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
