Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 pkg. shell macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 can chilies, chopped
  • 2 c. fat free shredded Cheddar cheese, divided

Method

  • In a skillet brown turkey and onion over medium heat.
  • Drain. Add the water, taco seasoning and tomato sauce and mix.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Stir in macaroni, chilies and 1 1/2 cups of cheese.
  • Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  • Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes, or until heated through.
