Ingredients

  • 4 medium cooking apples
  • 4 Tbsp. raisins
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Remove core from apples, leaving 1/2-inch of the core at bottom of the apple.
  • Peel top one-third of apple.
  • Arrange apples in baking pan.
  • Put 1 tablespoon of raisins in the center of each apple.
  • Pour water over apples.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
  • Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until tender. Spoon liquid from pan over apples one or two times during baking. Makes 4 servings, 1 apple each.
