Ingredients

  • 150 grams Lotus root
  • 1 1/2 tsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tsp Toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 -1 1/2 teaspoons Soy sauce

Method

  • Peel and quater the lotus root, and slice 2-3 mm thick.
  • Place on a large plate.
  • Pour the ingredients over the lotus root and mix it up to coat evenly.
  • Line the toaster oven with a sheet of aluminum foil.
  • Place the lotus root on the foil and toast for 5 minutes.
  • Combine the ingredients in the dish that was used for Step 2.
  • Once the lotus root has finished toasting, add it to the sauce while still hot and mix well.
  • Done!
