Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 c. all-purpose flour
Method
- Dissolve
- yeast in 1/2 cup water.
- Sift flour and salt. Add sugar
- and shortening.
- Mix well.
- Add as much warm water as needed
- to make
- stiff dough.
- Work well and put in large greased bowl.
- Let rise until double in size.
- Make into rolls and let rise
- until
- double
- in
- size.
- Bake
- at 375° for 15 minutes.
