- 1 pkg. lemon gelatin
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 (No. 303 or No. 2) can crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 3 diced bananas
- nuts (pecans)
- 1 c. pineapple juice (add water to make 1 c.)
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped
- grated Cheddar cheese (for garnish)
Method
- Mix jello with water.
- When partially set, add pineapple, marshmallows, bananas and nuts.
- In saucepan, cook juice, flour, sugar and egg.
- When custard is cool, add whipped cream.
- Spread custard mixture on top of jello.
- Garnish with grated cheese.
