Ingredients

  • 1 lb. oleo
  • 6 eggs, added one at a time
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar, added a little at a time
  • 4 c. all-purpose flour, added a little at a time
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 oz. bottle lemon flavor
  • 1/2 lb. candied red cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied green cherries
  • 1 qt. pecans

Method

  • Cream oleo.
  • Add eggs, one at a time.
  • Add sugar a little at a time.
  • Add flour a little at a time.
  • Add baking powder.
  • Fold lemon flavor and cherries in.
  • Put in a tube pan that has been greased and floured.
  • Bake 4 1/2 hours at 250°.
