Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter (softened)
- 2-1/2 c. sugar
- 3 c. bleached Soft as Silk Cake Flour
- 6 eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
Method
- Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Next, add sour cream.
- In a separate bowl, sift cake flour, salt and baking soda together.
- Add a small amount of flour mixture at a time to your butter, sugar, egg and sour cream mixture.
- Last add flavorings.
- Mix well.
- Pour into pans sprayed with Pam.
- Bake at 350° in preheated oven until done.
- Makes 8 small layers.
