Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • powdered sugar

Method

  • Combine 2 cups flour and 1/2
  • cup
  • powdered sugar.
  • Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry blender or fork, until resembles coarse meal.
  • Spoon flour mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Press firmly with fingertips.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is slightly browned.
  • Cool.
