Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- 3 stalks celery
- 2 c. grated cheese (Cheddar)
- 1/2 to 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 12 oz. bacon, fried crisp
Method
- Wash and dry lettuce.
- Tear into bite size pieces and put in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Slice celery and sprinkle over lettuce.
- Next, put a layer of 1 cup of the cheese.
- Place sliced onion on next. In small bowl, mix the sour cream and sugar together and spread over salad.
- Then, mix the mayonnaise and vinegar and drizzle over that.
- Crumble the bacon over it next. Top with remaining cup of cheese.
- Refrigerate several hours.
