Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef (16 oz.)
  • 1 (26.5 oz.) can spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, processed in blender
  • 6 lasagna noodles (the no boil kind)
  • 16 oz. cottage cheese
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook ground beef and drain.
  • If using noodles that have to be cooked, cook only until half done.
  • Drain.
  • Mix together the drained beef, tomatoes and spaghetti sauce.
  • Spread 1 1/2 cups in bottom of deep baking dish.
  • Lay 3 of the noodles on sauce.
  • Then spread some more sauce and 1/2 of the cottage cheese.
  • Make another layer of noodles, meat sauce and cottage cheese.
  • Then add rest of tomato sauce.
  • Spread Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake, covered with foil, for 1 hour at 350°. Uncover and continue to bake until cheese is lightly browned.
