- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 onion, chopped
- 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 qt. tomatoes
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. sugar
- pinch of soda
- 8 oz. thin noodles, cooked
- 8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
- 12 oz. cottage or Ricotta cheese
Method
- Brown ground chuck and onion in fat.
- Add next 7 ingredients. Cook for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Put noodles in the bottom of a baking dish, 9 x 13-inch.
- Cover with sauce, then Ricotta cheese. Cover with grated Swiss cheese.
- Bake about 30 minutes at 350°. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
