Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 qt. tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • pinch of soda
  • 8 oz. thin noodles, cooked
  • 8 oz. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 12 oz. cottage or Ricotta cheese

Method

  • Brown ground chuck and onion in fat.
  • Add next 7 ingredients. Cook for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Put noodles in the bottom of a baking dish, 9 x 13-inch.
  • Cover with sauce, then Ricotta cheese. Cover with grated Swiss cheese.
  • Bake about 30 minutes at 350°. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
