Ingredients

  • 300 grams Kuromame
  • 800 ml Water
  • 200 grams Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 1 teaspoon Salt

Method

  • Combine the ingredients, turn on the heat, and cook until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Thoroughly wash the kuromame and cover with the mixture overnight.
  • Add Step 1 to the pressure cooker, cover with the lid, and turn the heat to high.
  • When pot begins to shake, lower the heat and steam for 20 minutes.
  • Stop the heat and let cool.
  • They're done.
  • Letting the beans sit in the broth for a short time allows for the flavors to blend together and the beans will become nice and plump.
