Ingredients

  • 3 qt. popped corn
  • 1/2 c. pecans or roasted peanuts
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Place popcorn and nuts in a greased jellyroll pan.
  • Melt butter and sugar with syrup and salt.
  • Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.
  • Do not stir.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in soda and vanilla.
  • Pour mixture over popcorn.
  • Stir until coated.
  • Bake at 300° for 30 minutes, stirring often after 15 minutes.
  • Cool and break.
  • Store in airtight container.
