Ingredients

  • 5 Grilled chikuwa
  • 2 tbsp Yakitori sauce
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 dash Oil
  • 1 Shichimi spice or sansho

Method

  • Cut the grilled chikuwa in half lengthwise.
  • This time, I use mini-sized ones.
  • Line up the cut chikuwa and skewer with a toothpick.
  • By doing this, they won't roll around.
  • Cook the chikuwa with a bit of oil in a frying pan over low heat until crispy.
  • Turn off the heat and add the yakitori sauce and water.
  • Turn the heat back on and simmer to coat the chikuwa.
  • They'll burn easily, so be careful!
  • Once cooked, season as you like with shichimi or sansho.
